How to register your BKV Energy customer portal account

What information do I need to create an account?

To register your online account, you will need:

  • Account number (found in the welcome email/letter)
  • Email address used during enrollment
  • Billing address zip code
  • Username (you choose what username you’d like to use)
  • Password
  • Secret Question and Answer

How do I create my customer account?

  1. Navigate to the customer portal
  2. Click on “Register Now”
  3. Enter your account number (this can be found under the ‘Your Account Details’ section of your welcome email)
  4. Enter email address and zip code (Note: The email address must match the one used when enrolling for service and the zip code should be the one on your billing address)
  5. Create a username, password and security question

  4. You will need to create a username
  5. Passwords must be 12 characters long and must contain at least one uppercase letter, one lowercase letter, one number, and one special character (!@#$%^&*)
  6. Set up a secret question and answer
  7. You are now able to log in for the first time
  8. Next you will need to setup the Two-Factor Authentication method and select your default account (In case of multiple accounts)

Set up two-factor authentication

  1. Upon your first login, you will need to set up 2FA authentication.
  2. After login, you will see this popup where you can select the preferred method: Google Authenticator App, Microsoft Authenticator App, Email One-Time Passcode (OTP), or SMS Verification.
  3. Validate the 2FA Code

After selecting an authentication method, you’ll be prompted to either scan a QR code (if the selected method was either Google or Microsoft’s authenticator apps), or to retrieve the code from an SMS/Email that was sent to the account’s phone number/email address. This code is a unique 6-digit number.
